The CrossGL Surface Clock is the answer for the need to have a larger clock on your desktop. Windows does have its own located hidden to the side, but it is only a digital representation. The actual clock face is hidden away until you search for it. But what if you need a clock right now? What if you need a clock that is easy to find and easy to read? The CrossGL is just such a resource as it allows you complete control over where it is, what size it is, and how it sits on your desktop. No longer will you have to remind yourself where the time is with a giant clock constantly keeping you on top of your schedule.

Comprised of nothing more than a circular clock face complete with a second, minute, and hour hand, the CrossGL Surface Clock is more than a simple desktop decoration. Fully movable and able to be rotated 360 degrees, this clock is entirely customizable. Turn it upside down, resize it to take up half your desk top, or even stretch it to fit your whole desk top. Aside from the maneuverability, this clock also comes with a list of settings to further customize the experience. It can be set to remain on top of all other windows. The transparency can be adjusted based on percentage. Lastly, the clock hands motion can be smoothed out to mimic the real time look of an actual clock face. On top of that, there is an animated background, a geometric model that shows the workings going on behind the face, and a shape of the clock that is determined by the Windows regions that makes the clock’s image smoother.

Sadly, there are no skins or alternative images that can be added to customize it even further but what is available is still enough to make this the best free clock application. Because the program is strictly a clock face, its menu, rotation, and movement buttons are hidden until the mouse has hovered over it for an extended period. Though this may seem a little daunting at first, just imagine how annoying it would be if all its excess buttons appeared immediately each time you mouse over the clock. Simple, clean, and great to customize, the CrossGL Surface Clock is the answer to all desktop clock needs. Time never looked so good.
